My name is Mariana, I’m a nursing student from Portugal. I was in Gniezno for 2 months and I would definitely repeat it if I could. Study abroad was a great experience, it allowed me to get to know the reality of the health cares in Gniezno’s hospital, and the differences between your country and Portugal. Me and my Portuguese colleagues traveled a lot, not only, but specially around Poland, and it was priceless. Of course in the beginning I was afraid, because it’s hard getting out of our comfort zone, but in the end I think it was definitely worth it. I’m not the same person who went to Poland, the experience changed me in a good way. I met good people and I have good memories, some of it not so good but now I laugh about it, and even those were positive because now I’m capable to deal with similar situations. We had some issues with the language but we figured it out, we understood that there is always another way to get things right. So now it’s my turn to invite you to do the same we did, but now in Portugal, or wherever you would like to. I invite you to dare yourself! It might be hard in the first place, but I guarantee that you won’t regret.
